Short Summary: Mark Burdis (17 years old at the time) was walking home with two friends after a night out. They came across a group of four or five youths, who were sitting around a fire. Mark and his friends talked to the group, asking for the time. When they turned around and started walking away, Mark was hit by a burning liquid and started catching fire. Mark explained that he started screaming and his friends, who were a short distance away, came running to him. He laid down on the ground and started rolling to try and put out the flames but was too weak to manage by himself, so one of his friends stepped in to help, and got burns as well. Mark ended up suffering serious burns to his face, neck, hands and chest after being hit by the liquid. He was wearing a Marilyn Manson t-shirt at the time and that was suspected to be the motive (or at least one of them) for the attack, as the other youths belonged to a "rival" group.
