Summary: Black Friday had flown from the USA to England and was turned away at the border. She believes she has been targeted due to her appearence. She sees the reasons for her entry denial as unjustified and explains that she wasn't allowed to provide any evidence, such as records of where she would be staying or even contact any other people. She talks about being locked in a room and interrogated, while her belongins were confiscated and inspected. She wasn't even allowed to have her medication with her. She was later given a papper, stating that she hadn't provide any evidence of self-suficiency or of where she would be staying for the duration of the visit. Black Friday also talks about how she felt she was being treated like a criminal, and even that the police thought at some point that she would commit suicide, because she requested access to her medication for her panic disorder. She ended up spending the night at a detention center before being allowed to fly back to New Zealand.

Punks in an "re-education camp" in Indonesia

Year: 2011 Place: Indonesia Sources: BBC - Indonesia's Aceh punks shaved for "re-education" (14th of December, 2011) Maximum RockNRoll - 64 Indonesian Punks Detained and “Re-educated” (14th of September, 2011) Short Summary: Sixty-four punks in Aceh, Indonesia, have been detained by the police for "(...) being "punk" and disturbing the peace (...)" . Their mohawks were shaven, the women's hair was cut and their clothes were burned. They were made to pray and take communal baths. A police spokesperson says that this was done for their own good, also saying "(...) We are re-educating them so they don't shame their parents." . This was the second time the punks were a target of "intervention".
